New Scam Pattern Using Google Maps Reviews

Someone reported a new case to me in Cambodia. The scam starts by offering people about $1 for reviewing one location on Google Maps. After the user completes the review, they may really receive a small payment. Screenshot 2026-08-23 at 2.45.14 PM1270×765 233 KB This helps build trust. Then they ask the user to register on their own platform and add basic bank information such as account name and account number. The user can still continue doing Google Maps review tasks, but later the platform also introduces other activities, such as investment or gambling-like tasks. Screenshot 2026-08-23 at
